When Jacques Isabelle was diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukemia, a form of blood cancer, his life was turned upside down. But thanks to his resilience and positivity, he soon realized that this was not the end and simply another challenge. So, he stepped into fight mode and focused on the road to recovery which included working on his mental health, improving his nutrition, leaning on his support system, and getting the necessary medical treatment.
Jacques lives by the motto: ‘Memento Mori’, which he uses as a reminder to live each day to the fullest. On a quest to spread awareness about Leukemia, Jacques cycled the iconic yet strenuous, over-a-thousand-mile-long Land's End to John O'Groats route. This massive achievement also symbolizes how far he’s come and how far he will continue to go. As he celebrates each little and big win, he is more driven than ever to continue his recovery journey while spreading awareness through other physical challenges. He has become a beacon of hope and inspiration for us all.
